Dr. Donut

What is the stop-motion all about?

To learn to work together and learn about all the painting techniques. We also learned to try something new.

Why did you create your character?

We wanted to create something that looked cute and quite tasty. We also wanted a character that could live in our Candy Land that we made. We wanted a character that looked cute but in the inside he is very evil. We thought Dr. Donut was the perfect character to create.

Would you change anything about it? Why?

I would not allow sweets or any kind of food to be allowed on the set. We had sweets on our poster and within a couple of days they had been broken off.

What has been the highlight been of this project so far?

My highlight has was when me and Michael were actually creating our character. We first made the brown clay into a donut shape. We then mixed red and white to make a pink colour then we used the pink colour as our icing. We used many colours to make small sprinkles on the donut. We also made a mouth, a hat and two cute eyes.

What are your frustrations?

It was very annoying when we had to redo certain parts of our film because you could see our hands in the shot.
